Vermeer Wisconsin has an opening for a full-time Assistant Sales Manager.  We are seeking a forward thinking, ambitious, dedicated employee who is a successful negotiator, proven sales closer, and excellent communicator.  Previous related manager experience and/or equipment sales experience is preferred. Primary job responsibilities

Sales Team:

Travel regularly with territory sales staff. Train, guide, mentor, support, close  

Perform CRM Quote Tool updates and assist sales team with quote tool functionality

Assist sales staff in quote/opportunity development and progression

Support CRM application and development of new features


Promote factory specials, new products, factory and customer events

Assist with used equipment evaluations

Pursue used equipment opportunities

Support sales manager direction of equipment stocking levels, turns, ERP system data, and review with management

Support logistics for product needs of PSSR’s and Account Managers 


Review and approve account managers paperwork to facilitate billing procedures

Manage and direct inside sales/rental staff and sales department support staff

Support lifecycle needs for after sale needs of the customer

Support inside sales questions to retail customers when in the office

Manage and grow rental and used equipment fleet


Support the Marketing Specialist for trade shows, lead generation, selling points, promotions

Identify and manage project opportunities to improve the sales and customer experience

Attend assigned events with OEM sponsored events, industry associations, etc

Successful applicants must possess these qualities:

Previous outside sales experience and/or sales manager experience with a proven record of success

Bachelor’s degree in business or business/sales/marketing

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and including a detail-oriented mindset

Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including electrical and hydraulic systems

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and physical ability to demonstrate equipment

Working knowledge of current technology, computers and applications including Microsoft Windows, MS Office Suite and CRM software
