SERVICE WRITER – LISBON

DUTIES

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a mechanical background and a passion for customer service? We’re looking for a Service Writer to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our Service Department. Send a cover letter & resume to jobs@vermeerwisconsin.com.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and assist customers, vendors, and drivers.
  • Answer incoming service calls and route them appropriately.
  • Open and manage work orders using segmenting and standard job codes.
  • Coordinate technician assignments with the Assistant Service Manager / Service Manager.
  • Support the Sales Department by processing service jobs as directed.
  • Accurately enter and classify technician time entries (regular, field, overtime).
  • Maintain internal Service Bulletin records and ensure timely job completion.
  • Review work orders for completeness and clarity, ensuring detailed documentation.
  • Manage technician project lists to support productivity.
  • Communicate with customers and sales team regarding repair needs and costs.
  • Collaborate with the BPI Manager to improve Standard Job Codes.
  • Assist with equipment rental check-in/out as needed.
  • Monitor and manage weekly Vermeer Link software updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in a related field.
  • Mechanical background.
  • Customer service focused and detail oriented.
  • Advanced computer skills.

HOURS & PAY

  • 40 HRS/WK, First shift position, Monday – Friday
  • $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
